Yesterday at the Redbone Guitar Boutique Gretsch event, with non other than Fred Gretch, I learned that Bigsby - you know the vibrato bar that you see on Gretsch and other branded guitars like Fender and Gibson, is owned by Gretsch. And in doing even more research, I found this gem of an audio story on NPR that concludes who really invented the electric guitar.
The story is based on the book, The Story Of Paul A. Bigsby: The Father Of The Modern Electric Solidbody Guitar.
