This is a cool thing to do. Plus you get your name in the credits. Melissa Pierce is breaking new ground. Check out her project, Life in Perpetual Beta, and become your very own movie mogul in the process.
Highly Recommended.

The 140 Characters Conference: New York City (#140conf) will be taking place April 20-21, 2010 at the 92nd Street Y. This event will be the largest worldwide gathering of people interested in the effects of the real-time Internet on both business and "we" the people.
Jeff Pulver believes that we are experiencing the first stages of a major communication revolution. What many people today refer to as "Social Media" he believes is really a primitive for a new way we will communicate in the future. In fact, the systemic effects of the advent of social media will be felt for a long time after the term "social media" is no longer trendy.
IP based communications continues to evolve and our future social networks will one day help define how people are seamlessly discovered when someone originates a call to them. Business communication methods are transforming. The advent of social communications is having a direct effect on company/client/consumer/vendor/fan relationships. It has been a quite a while since our business ecosystems have been effected so quickly and so deeply then what we have already felt and will be felt in the weeks, months and years ahead.Delegates attending #140conf NYC will have a first had oppotunity to take in the changes underway by hearing about how the real-time internet is effecting a wide number of industries and by taking advantage of the opportunity to connect face to face with the community at large.Jeff's has been working on the content for the upcoming #140conf for the past few months.Comments [0]
If you will be in New York City tomorrow, please consider joining @JeffPulver at his first "Social Media Lunch" that I he's hosting at the Roger Smith Hotel in honor of Social Media Week in NYC.The networking starts at 12:00 and lunch starts at 12:30. The cost for the lunch is $20 which includes tip, tax and gratuity. This will be a fun opportunity to connect with other members of the #140conf community in what will be an intimate setting as there will be no more than 50 seats offered. If you would like to join Jeff for lunch, please RSVP over at: http://pulverrshlunch.eventbrite.com/

Last June at the #140Conf / New York, I had the opportunity to sit back stage while listening to Chris Sacca as he interviewed Wyclef Jean. As the event was happening, so did the situation in Iran, where people took to the streets, using social media to protest the oppression.

I had a chance to connect with Richard Buchanan from Ooma at the CES 2010 Show in Las Vegas today. Richard's company gets it by being an innovator delivering consumers HD Voice.
He gives a shout-out to our compadre, Jeff Pulver, who's been a long time proponent of HD Voice. Jeff's doing the first European HD Communications Summit in Paris on February 12.

Having been a part of the 140 Characters Conference in New York, LA, and London, my schedule prevented me from attending the Tel Aviv event which took place today. But even though I could not attend the Tel Aviv event, I attended by watching it on UStream.
