Yesterday at the Redbone Guitar Boutique Gretsch event, with non other than Fred Gretch, I learned that Bigsby - you know the vibrato bar that you see on Gretsch and other branded guitars like Fender and Gibson, is owned by Gretsch. And in doing even more research, I found this gem of an audio story on NPRthat concludes who really invented the electric guitar.
