Why on earth would an Intellectual Property lawyer come to a #140Conf Road Trip MeetUp? Because Pete Salsich is reinventing a whole new way to practice law, serving growing companies that may not be able to afford, let alone even need a traditional law firm.
Pete co-founded Brick House Law Group a little over a year ago. Even it's name is telling of how he is disrupting the law firm model. (Remember, most law firms carry the founders' names and not a branded name that is so indigenous to the rich architectural style and heritage of St. Louis.)
Well, since I have become a guitar nut in the last two years, I would like to see brands like Fender, Gibson & Gretsch adopt this concept, and bring out a special line where you could build your own vintage guitar based on parts from years gone by.
Fender did launch their Road Worn series, which gives you a really nice, and very reasonably priced relic instrument.
But what if I wanted one and not two pickups - making my Telecaster an Esquire? What if I wanted a painted headstock? Or how about an option on customizable cases- road worn too!
At a mass-customization reasonable price.
What a great way to build and engage a community.
Anyone out there have other industries where this could apply?
